To end your tenancy agreement, you must provide a written notice to us with required notice period. Depending on your situation, the notice period required may vary.
If you want to vacate at the end of the fixed term period, you need to give at least 14 days’ notice. The notice can be given up to and including the last day of the fixed term.
If you want to vacate after your lease have expired, and have not signed another tenancy agreement, you need to provide at least 21 days’ notice. This notice can be given at any time and does not have to line up with the rent payment cycle.
If you need to terminate your lease agreement during the fixed term period, a mandatory break lease fee is applicable based on the stage of the agreement.
If the mandatory break fee applies, the set fee payable is:
- 4 weeks’ rent if less than 25 per cent of the agreement has expired
- 3 weeks’ rent if 25 per cent or more but less than 50 per cent of the agreement has expired
- 2 weeks’ rent if 50 per cent or more but less than 75 per cent of the agreement has expired
- 1 week’s rent if 75 per cent or more of the agreement has expired.
